The first county association formed by trained nurses in Dubuque County was established on May 13, 1908. The meeting was held in the recital hall of [[HARGER AND BLISH]] with those in attendance including nurses from the Mercy and Finley Hospital Training School.<br /> <br /> Once the association was formed, courses of study were to be prescribed. Later a series of lectures was to be given by physicians.
