New page

DUBUQUE COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF NURSES. The first county association formed by trained nurses in Dubuque County was established on May 13, 1908. The meeting was held in the recital hall of [[HARGER AND BLISH]] with those in attendance including nurses from the Mercy and Finley Hospital Training School.

Once the association was formed, courses of study were to be prescribed. Later a series of lectures was to be given by physicians. The Dubuque association was expected to send delegates to the State Conference of Nurses to be held in Sioux City on June 2nd.
