	DUBUQUE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SOCIETY. A meeting of those interested in becoming members of an archaeological society were to meet in rooms of the [[YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION (Y.M.C.A.)]] on May 8, 1906 when officers would be elected, a constitution adopted and a permanent organization established. From those interested, it was assumed that the society would affiliate with the national organization and also the Palastrina Society. It was the intention to have local educators conduct different departments of the organization. (1)		DUBUQUE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SOCIETY.
