CRUISE, R. E. "Elzy" ( --2001). From 1954 to 1956 Cruise served as the president of IBEW Local 704. He was the business manager of IBEW Local 704 from 1959 to 1966 and from 1972 to 1975. He served as a delegate to the 30th IBEW National Convention in Kansas City in 1974 and as a delegate to the Dubuque Building and Construction Trades.

Cruise was inducted into the [[DUBUQUE AREA LABOR HALL OF FAME]] in 2015.
