On June 29, 1923 the [[TELEGRAPH HERALD]] reported that after four months of "searching investigation" into alleged un-American textbooks said to be taught in the schools of Iowa and the nation, the Committee of Nine was about to end this stage of its work. The Committee, according to the newspaper, was composed of "practically every patriotic organization in the city."		COMMITTEE OF NINE.
