			The renovated Comiskey Park opened on June 29, 2023. New features of the $2.46 million first phase included a splash pad, basketball courts, and playground along with walkways, seating, picnic shelters, bike racks and landscaping. Fundraising sources included a $508,000 Land and Water Conservation Fund Outdoor Legacy Program grant, a $100,000 Wellmark Foundation grant, and $25,000 from America In Bloom/Canadian National Railways and Community Development Block Grant. The completion of the first phase focused attention on the second phase which included the construction of additional baseball courts, park lot, more picnic areas and shade structures, and improvements to the park's field to improve the draining of water.
