She also performed historical consulting with her late husband Thomas "Pete" Campbell through their company Asa Haile House Restorations. She was well respected locally. As early as the 1980s she painstakingly undertook the historically correct renovation of the [[HAM HOUSE]] as the curator for the [[DUBUQUE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY]]. She served as the curator of the [[NATIONAL MISSISSIPPI RIVER MUSEUM AND AQUARIUM]] until 2010. Tacie retired from the National Mississippi River Museum with Emeritus status.
