Broomball is a game played on an ice rink, but players do not wear skates. They hit a ball around with modified sticks (called brooms) and work to score goals, similar to hockey. Promoters hoped to organize a tournament in either January or February, 2016 and hoped that would create enough interest to start leagues. Special efforts were to be made to promote the program at local colleges. Other colleges intramural broomball leagues were usually among the most popular programs offered.<br />
