He served credit union members by providing outstanding leadership and actively participating on virtually all credit union board committees. He voluntarily logged 5,431 hours of driving time and 185,439 miles in transporting 2,372 individual veterans by van to the Iowa City Veterans Administration Hospital for care and treatment.
