	ATCHISON, Hugh Dowling. (Belvidere, IL, Nov. 15, 1864--Dubuque, IA, Nov. 3, 1952). Atchison received his bachelor of arts degree from Northwestern University in 1887 and his bachelor of divinity degree in 1906. His first pastorate was in Chicago, Illinois. Between 1900 and 1938 Atchison served as the chorus director of festival concerts for the [[UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE]]. Over the same years, he was the pastor of [[ST. LUKE'S UNITED METHODIST CHURCH]].
