DIGMAN, Eldon
DIGMAN, Eldon. (Jo Daviess County, IL, Feb. 23, 1926--Johnston, IA, May 3, 2010). Digman served in the United States Army in WORLD WAR II in Company B of the 474th Infantry Regiment. They became known as the 'Battered Bastards of Bastogne' during the famous Battle of the Bulge. He received the Army Occupation Ribbon (Germany), American Theater Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Service Medal and the Combat Infantryman's Badge.
Digman was a self-employed realtor for fifty-four years and was the owner/operator of DIGMAN REALTY ASSOCIATES INC. He joined ReMax realty company in 1997 and was the Iowa Realtor of the year twice during his career.
Digman was a founding member of the GREATER DUBUQUE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATIONand served several years on the boards of CLARKE COLLEGE the board of the DUBUQUE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB; and the boards Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin Boards of Realtors.
