WERTIN, Clarence

WERTIN, Clarence. (Dubuque, IA, Apr. 11, 1899--1957). Wertin was educated in Dubuque schools and began work at the age of fourteen. On April 15, 1915 he began an apprenticeship at the KEY CITY IRON WORKS.

Wertin bought a minor interest in the company in 1929 and in 1940 bought a remaining part of a half interest. He began the sole owner of the company in 1948.
