Werkmeister, John. (Dubuque, IA, Apr. 25, 1864--Earlville, IA, June 7, 1922). Mayor. Werkmeister, licensed as an embalmer, served as secretary-treasurer of the school board in Earlville. He was a member of the Earlville city council for sixteen years and served as mayor for four years.
