WALKER, C. H. Windham Co. VT, Jan. 3, 1823-- ). Walker came to Iowa in the spring of 1856 and settled in Dubuque County where he worked in the wood business.

In 1859, Walker entered in the dairy business in which he remained over twenty-one years. He was the proprietor of Walker's Dairy. On his dairy farm located just outside of the city limits, he milked from fifty to one hundred cows.

Walker was also involved in the milling business in the firm of ATHERTON, WALKER & CO. on Iowa Street between Second and Third STREETS. That firm was dissolved in 1871 with Walker leaving. (1)
