USHA PARK. Usha Mullapudi died in March 1995 after being struck by a train while attempting to cross a railroad bridge south of the city. Her parents, Drs. Ratnam and Nalini Mullapudi, donated eight acres to the city in her memory. The parents moved from Dubuque and in 2000 opened Usha Mullapudi Cardiac Centre in India.

Usha Park is located off Pennsylvania Avenue near the Northwest Arterial. A cricket field was installed in 2006 instead of a baseball diamond and a parking lot was finished in 2013. Other plans yet to be started in 2015 included the installation of play equipment, picnic shelter, and walking trail.
