UNION BUS DEPOT. The Union Bus Depot operated by the DUBUQUE AUTOMOBILE CLUB was located at 301 Main between 1940 and 1970. When it opened on June 29, 1940, WKBB made a broadcast from the station with interviews of the club's officers. (1)

Home to several transportation companies including Greyhound, Jefferson, Waterloo, Hiawatha, Cardinal, and River Trails, it relocated between 1971 and 1985 to 485 Central. The old depot building became the home of the GREAT TRI-STATE SURPLUS STORE. The building was demolished in the early 1990s, and the site became a municipal parking lot.

In the late 1980s, the bus depot moved to Kerper Blvd. In 2015 the Trailways bus depot was located at FIVE POINTS on Rhomberg. (2)
