The 1987 ''Dubuque City Directory'' listed 1098 Jackson. | In January 2017 the announcement was made that the Dubuque Zoning Advisory Commission recommended rezoning a 3.1 acre lot on Cedar Cross Road from light industrial to general commercial use. Society officials said the organization was planning to construct a new facility on the property. The current location at 3333 Asbury was too large and expensive. It was suggested that the site was of interest to Colorado-based grocery chain Natural Grocers. (1) Natural Grocers moved into the building following massive renovation in the fall of 2018. | ||

The Society moved to the former CARADCO administration building at 1098 Jackson on October 1, 1977 and, in 1988, to 3333 Asbury Road, the former site of the Save-U-More grocery store.
