SCHRUP MOTOR COMPANY. On June 30, 1927 visitors to the Schrup Motor Company were given the opportunity of seeing a driver-less Dodge Brothers automotive in action. Operated by Maurice Francill, the car was radio-controlled moved forward, backed up and turned. On July 1, 1927 the demonstration was to be repeated in front of WASHINGTON JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL. (1)

The 1913 Dubuque and Dubuque County Directory stated that this business was located at 7th and Iowa.

The 1915 Dubuque City Directory listed 288-290 7th.

The 1922 telephone directory listed 4th and Main.

The 1929 Dubuque City Directory listed W. 13th and Iowa.

The 1934 Dubuque City Directory listed 870-880 Central.

The 1939 through 1942 Dubuque Classified Business Directory listed 1101 Central.

The 1948 Dubuque Classified Business Directory through 1974 Dubuque City Directory listed 902 White.

Note the old PRESCOTT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL and the old bell tower on the DUBUQUE CITY HALL .
