SCHMID, Titus B. Sr. (Dubuque, IA, February 10, 1854--Chicago, IL, 1906). Educated in the Dubuque public schools, Schmid joined his father [[SCHMID, Titus|Titus SCHMID]] in the management of the [[SCHMID BREWERY]]. This became the [[IOWA BREWERY]] until the merger which created the [[DUBUQUE BREWING AND MALTING COMPANY]]. In this company he was a major stockholder and a member of the board of directors. This became the IOWA BREWERY until the merger which created the DUBUQUE BREWING AND MALTING COMPANY. In this company he was a major stockholder and a member of the board of directors. For many years he was also a director of the GERMAN TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK.

He was a member of the Dubuque Schutzen Society DUBUQUE SHOOTING SOCIETY, DUBUQUE GUN CLUB, Angler League, and the ELKS CLUB.
