MISSISSIPPI MOUNTAINEERS. Dubuque band of the 1930s. Featuring Gus Fuhrman on accordion, Joe Chevalier on guitar, Whitey WOELK playing bass, Mark Gavin on clarinet and Russ Evans on drums, the Mississippi Mountaineers played every evening on WKBB Radio from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. on the first live musical show with a sponsor, DUBUQUE STAR BREWING COMPANY.
