MCKESSON COMPANY. McKesson in 2019 was headquartered in San Francisco, California. With an estimated 76,000 employees, the company had two core business segments: distribution solutions and technology solutions. Distribution solutions included: U. S. Pharmaceutical, Medical-Surgical, Specialty Health, Pharmacy Systems and Automation, McKesson Canada, and McKesson Europe. Technology solutions included: Enterprise Information Solutions. (1)

In 2009 McKesson relocated from the Roshek Building to the DUBUQUE TECHNOLOGY PARK. The oldest and largest health care services company in the United States, the firm provides such services as medical supplies, pharmaceuticals and health care technology. The facility in Dubuque is focused on the technological side of the business and annually processes 2 billion health care transactions and up to $1 trillion in health care activity. (2)

McKesson was ranked #5 on the Fortune 500 with company-wide annual revenues in 2015 of $179 billion. (3) McKesson in 2019 was one of the city's largest employers with an estimated 400 employees and an annual growth of 8% to 10% annually. (4)
