MCFARLAND, Michael Edward. (Nov. 24, 1940-- ). McFarland was elected country auditor in 1984 after incumbent Terrence HIRSCH chose not to seek re-election. McFarland resigned in 1986 and was replaced by Denise Marie DOLAN.

During his term in office, McFarland, a former teacher, upgraded the county computer system and laid the groundwork for the million dollar Sidwell mapping system by which the complicated legal descriptions of property were replaced by numerical codes.
