MAIN STREET BAPTIST CHURCH. Located at 12th and Main STREETS, the church was constructed in 1876 and became the home of FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH. The property was sold in 1917 and eventually a congregation of approximately fifty people was developed.

Later converted to the STRAND THEATER, the building was damaged by fire in the early 1980s. The theater closed, and the building remained empty until plans were announced to renovate the structure into a nightclub. When this plan failed, the building was demolished in 1990 to create a parking lot.
