LOCHNER, Philip Harrison. (Dubuque, IA, May 23, 1921--Dubuque, IA, July 2, 2018). The son of Harry J. and Frances (Schaefer) Lochner, Philip attended St. Mary's School. As a youngster he played with the Reiner Band, the DUBUQUE COMMUNITY BAND and in the ROTC band at COLUMBIA ACADEMY. He served in WORLD WAR II, first with the Army's 94th division and later with the 9th United States Army Air Force Band in Paris, France.

Upon being honorably discharged from the service, he formed DUBUQUE ELECTRIC MOTOR SERVICE INC. with his father and his younger brother, Harry. Philip was president until he retired in 1994. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. Club of Galena, the American Legion, the Electrical Apparatus Service Association, Midwestern Chapter and Resurrection Catholic Church.
