LAGEN, Bernard. (Lancaster County, PA, Oct. 3, 1840-- ). Lagen's parents came Dubuque in 1848. He learned the trade of blacksmith and afterward worked in the livery business.

Lagen later established the city's first omnibus line running six horse-drawn vehicles to take people to their destinations.
