KENO F. Mayor Peter OLINGER heard of Keno F. after the trotter had posted a time of 2:37 at a mile track in Oelwein. The horse was owned by a man in Bremer County who was anxious to sell. The following spring, Keno posted a time of 2:30.

In 1896 Keno F. was sold by Olinger to Charley Thompson of Independence. The horse, trained by Charley Thompson, won all the western circuits and then was entered in the Flour City stakes in Rochester, New York winning $10,000 with a pace of 2:17.5.
