Sue began her business career in high school, working as a "soda jerk." She then worked as a bookkeeper at [[DUBUQUE INSULATION AND SIDING COMPANY]]. She was cofounder of [[CREATIVE TOUCH GALLERY]] and [[OOH LA LA]].

She then worked as a bookkeeper at DUBUQUE INSULATION AND SIDING COMPANY. She was cofounder of CREATIVE TOUCH GALLERY and OOH LA LA.

Sue was a member of Grandview Women's Auxillary, FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST where she served on various committees, Dubuque Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors, Finley Sunshine Circle volunteer and PEO chapter IK.
