JOE SENT ME! An original musical comedy written by Don and Lauretta M. STRIBLING with lyrics and music by Paul HEMMER was set during the PROHIBITION era. The production, with 1920s style tunes, poked fun at the Alphonse CAPONE connection to Dubuque. Joe Sent Me! ran for a month in Dubuque as well as two weeks at Theatre Americana in suburban Los Angeles, CA.

Hemmer completed work on a revival of Joe Sent Me! which was staged at The GRAND OPERA HOUSE in February 2007. For the full program, see http://www.dubuque.lib.ia.us/admin/DocumentView.aspx?DID=185 (PDF--1.76 MB).
