INTRILIGATOR, William. (Santa Monica, CA--  ). Music Director, [[DUBUQUE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA]].  In 2008, Intriligator was in his eighth season as the Music Director of the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra.  A graduate with highest honors in music from Princeton University, Intriligator received the first diploma in conducting from its Program in Music Performance, and was awarded the Isidore & Helen Sacks Memorial Prize as the most outstanding musician in his class. Dr. Intriligator earned his masters and doctoral degrees in conducting at the University of Minnesota. His doctoral degree was the first ever awarded in the Graduate-Apprentice Conducting Program; his thesis explored the influence of early German Romantic philosophers and their beliefs on the orchestral works of Robert Schumann.  He has led performances with distinguished orchestras including those of Honolulu, Houston, Minnesota, Richmond, Saint Paul, Savannah and Tulsa.

(1) He returned to the U.S. to earn his masters and doctoral degrees in orchestral conducting at the University of Minnesota, where he conducted a full production of Mozart’s ''The Magic Flute'' at age 23. (2) His doctoral degree was the first ever awarded in the Graduate-Apprentice Conducting Program; his thesis explored the influence of early German Romantic philosophers and their beliefs on the orchestral works of Robert Schumann.  He received the first diploma in conducting from the university's Program in Music Performance and was awarded the Isidore & Helen Sacks Memorial Prize as the most outstanding musician in his class. In Dubuque, the symphony under his direction has staged opera and ballet productions, large-scale music festivals, family concerts, a chamber series and new education concerts and concepts. The orchestra continues to present both local and world premieres, and, reflecting his strong commitment to area outreach, has developed many new partnerships with the community. He was an original member of the City of Dubuque Arts and Cultural Affairs Advisory Commission; co-hosts a weekly radio show with [[HEMMER, Paul|Paul HEMMER]] on KDTH; writes a monthly column in The Golden View newspaper; regularly visits school classrooms and service clubs; and has been active with other local boards and activities.

In 2019, Intriligator was in his nineteenth season as the Music Director of the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra. He was also the director of the Cheyenne (WY) Symphony Orchestra. (7)
