HOSFORD V. AVENUE TOP MINING COMPANY
HOSFORD V. AVENUE TOP MINING COMPANY. In 1899 or 1900 Mr. R. W. Hosford purchased the lot on which the AVENUE TOP MINING COMPANY had its mining shaft. He then attempted to block the company from using the shaft.
The district court ruled in 1900 that Hosford had purchased the lot knowing the Avenue Top had the mineral rights. It ruled in favor of Avenue Top.
