Heuchelin claimed in 1929 that part of the success of the business was that the plant was so arranged that one department helped another eliminating waste. Among the company's products were "Rooster," "O.K.," "White Dove," "Dubuque Made," and "Our Home" grades of wheat flour. Poultry, dairy, and hog feeds and mashes were also made combining as many as twelve ingredients. The company was also known for its cereals, cornmeal, pancake flour, buckwheat flout, whole wheat flour, and pumpernickel. Hay, straw, and oats were all bought and sold.
