HAZLETON, Samuel Houston. (Lansing, IA, April 18, 1876--Dubuque, IA, September 30, 1942). After receiving his education in Lansing, Hazleton graduated from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. He came to Dubuque in 1894 and entered the [[BAYLESS BUSINESS COLLEGE]] followed by his employment with the [[C. H. BRUCE AND COMPANY]], wholesale and retail dealers in china and glassware. He remained with the company the rest of his life seeing it become [[BECKER-HAZLETON COMPANY]] with his partnership with [[BECKER, Charles H.|Charles H. Becker]].

He was a charter member of the Dubuque Rotary Club and a past president of the [[DUBUQUE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB]].
