He came to Dubuque in 1894 and entered the BAYLESS BUSINESS COLLEGE followed by his employment with the C. H. LITTLE, BRUCE AND COMPANY, wholesale and retail dealers in china and glassware. He remained with the company the rest of his life seeing it become BECKER-HAZLETON COMPANY with his partnership with Charles H. Becker.
Outside of business, Hazleton was a member of FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, the Masonic Lodge, ELKS CLUB, DUBUQUE TRAVELING AND BUSINESS MEN'S ASSOCIATION and the DUBUQUE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
