H. A. SCHUNK, WINES & LIQUORS
H. A. SCHUNK, Wine & Liquor. Henry A. SCHUNK, a Dubuque MAYOR, opened his wholesale and retail liquor store in 1896 at 61-69 8th. In 1906 the H.A. Schunk Company was established with M.F. Schunk as president and L.M. Cunningham as secretary. The business was located in the same place with the addition of a tavern and insurance agency.
In 1912 the H.A. Schunk Company was again listed as a business in Dubuque. The company was then located at 46 8th. They were proprietors of the Home Supply Company, a wholesale and retail liquor outlet. H.A. Schunk was listed from 1914 to 1915 as operating only a tavern. He was last listed in 1916 operating a grocery store.
