GRIFFITH, Helen Packard. (Rochester, NY, May, 1831--Dubuque, IA, Nov. 14, 1883). Griffith, wife of Jeffrey M. GRIFFITH, served prominently in charitable work in Dubuque. The HOME FOR THE FRIENDLESS, later the beneficiary of her and her husband's generosity, was begun at her suggestion. She was also a frequent contributor to ST. JOHN'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH.
