GERMAN CATHOLIC FAIR. Beginning on December 7, 1863, the fair opened at the DUBUQUE CITY HALL. Performing was the Germania Brass and String Band. Articles for sale and money had been widely donated. (1)

The fair ran for six days and nights and took at least $2,300. The Catholic choir and other musicians gave a "chaste recitation" of music. (2)
