GEORGE CANNON--658 Fenelon Place. George Cannon, a grocer, had this Victorian Italianate home constructed in 1857. The building was remodeled after a fire destroyed the third floor ballroom, cupola, and porch which stretched across the front of the home. The building today has a FEDERAL ARCHITECTURE appearance.

A summer kitchen and dumbwaiter was added to the southwestern portion of the house in 1900. A sun porch was added in 1920.
