FUHRMANN BROTHERS. Fuhrmann Brothers opened for business in Dubuque in 1865. In 1922 the original founders, Frank P. and Joseph Fuhrmann, passed the business to the sons of Frank P. Fuhrmann--F. W., F. A. and C. G. Fuhrmann. The name of the business remained the same as did its location--Ninth and Main.

The 1890-91 Dubuque City Directory through the 1916-1917 White's Dubuque County Directory gave this business address as 905-909 Clay.

The 1918 Dubuque and East Dubuque City Directory though the 1948 Dubuque Classified Business Directory listed this men's clothier at 1043 Main.

The 1945 through 1962 Dubuque City Directory listed 905 Central.
