FAGAN'S SHOE REPAIR AND VIDEOS. The 1987 through 1993 Dubuque City Directory listed 2196 Central.
As witnessed by the change in name, Fagan's Shoe Repair and Hobbies, in addition to being one of the last shoe repair stores in Dubuque by 2016, became a one-stop-shop for hobby supplies offering kits for creating models or books in which to collect coins. The largest offerings came in materials for those constructing model railroads with yards of scale model track, railroad equipment, and materials to create scenery.
Owner Aaron V. FAGAN added niche markets over the years to stay in business. He began with videos during the 1980s, but eventually turned to toys.
