FAGAN'S SHOE REPAIR, VIDEO RENTAL AND HOBBY SHOP. The 1987 through 2017 Dubuque City Directory listed 2196 Central.
In addition to being one of the last shoe repair stores in Dubuque by 2017, the store became a one-stop-shop for hobby supplies offering kits for creating models or books in which to collect coins. The largest offerings came in materials for those constructing model railroads with yards of scale model track, railroad equipment, and materials to create scenery.
Owner Aaron V. FAGAN added niche markets over the years to stay in business. He began with videos during the 1980s, but eventually turned to toys.
