DUBUQUE ZITHER CLUB
By 1909 the organization under the leadership of G. E. Davis was composed of performers using zithers, guitars, violins, flutes, orchestra bells, cello and a harp. In 1909 other midwestern cities featuring such a group included Chicago and Milwaukee. In addition to performing in Dubuque, the group gave concerts on steamboat excursions to Clinton and Savanna.
