DUBUQUE DRUM CORPS. The Dubuque Daily Herald reported on July 27, 1892 that with the exception of a few new members the Dubuque Drum Corps reorganized the previous evening. Under the direction of "Doc" Guilbert, the group performed a drill on the corner of Ninth and Clay. The article mentioned that the Corps had a national reputation and planned to perform at the world's fair.
