DUBUQUE CLUB (CHICAGO)
DUBUQUE CLUB (CHICAGO). Founded in 1933 by Dubuque native, George Cassutt, the club once had over five hundred active members. Shortly after moving there, Cassutt remarked how often he met someone from his hometown. Organizing a club seemed logical.
Meetings were held monthly and at one, the high-light was being entertained by Joe FRISCO. The club only became inactive in 1957 when ill health force Cassutt to retire from its presidency.
