DUBUQUELAND OVERHEAD DOOR COMPANY. Located at 14628 Mile Hill Lane, Dubuqueland Overhead Door was founded in 1975 by Gary and Barb Soppe and Duane and Delores Kamp. The business involved sales, service and installation of garage doors and openers, rolling doors, and date operators.
Originally the company operated in the old Farley creamery. In the 1980s the Soppes purchased the Kamps' shares and moved the business to U. S. 20 on property they owned while also starting Dubuqueland Mini-Storage. In 2010 Chad Soppe was the second generation of management/owner.
The 1985 through 1989 Dubuque City Directory listed Highway 20 West.
The 1993 Dubuque City Directory" listed 14628 Highway 20 West for Dubuqueland Overhead Door Service.
