DENTON, Jack
DENTON, Jack. (Dubuque, IA, Jan. 21, 1925--Sun Valley, CA, Nov. 18, 1986). Following experience as a professional drummer, Denton worked as a stand-up comic. He was a comedy writer for famed comedian Milton Berle at the age of twenty-two.
Denton was also a Milwaukee disc-jockey who hosted a talk radio show and a weekly television program. From 1954-1958 he was a columnist of the Milwaukee Sentinel. He developed a role as Franklin D. Roosevelt which appeared on stage and screen. (1)
