Constructed of multiple barrel cement vaults, Creslanes was the first building of this type in Iowa. An estimated 6 million pounds of concrete was supplied by READY-MIX CONCRETE COMPANY OF DUBUQUE.
CRESLANES. Established in 1958, Creslanes was located at 255 South Main. The facility was constructed by the Schmid family known for their ownership of CRESCENT ELECTRIC SUPPLY COMPANY and philanthropy in the community. (1)

With its motto, "Your Family Bowling Center," Creslanes was still open in 2014. Following the PANDEMIC of 2020, the business was closed with twenty-five employees losing their jobs and the future of large tournaments including the annual Big 10 Tournament and Junior Big 10 Tournament put into question.
