CEDAR CROSS OVERHEAD DOOR. In 1982 Dan and Elaine Pregler purchased Cedar Cross Overhead Door. Beginning with two employees and two service trucks, the company had grown by 2010 to employ eighteen and thirteen service trucks servicing a fifty-mile radius of Dubuque. Technicians serviced all makes of doors and operators, and the company carried and serviced dock equipment.

Locally the firm at 1040 Cedar Cross Road was known as the Red Ribbon Dealer because it carried the top grade Overhead Door brand of garage door.

The company almost annually received the Eagle Award designated for top Red Ribbon dealers.

The 1980 and 1983 Dubuque City Directory listed 3190 Cedar Cross Road.

The 1985 Dubuque City Directory listed Cedar Cross-Pregler-Overhead Door Company at the same address.
