CASSAT, David. (Vail, law-Dubuque, IA, Apr. 3, 1982). President, Interstate Finance Corporation. Cassat moved to Dubuque in 1921 as the new executive director of the Chamber of Commerce. Active in the community, Cassat founded the Community Chest in Dubuque, served as president of the Rotary Club, and held membership on the boards of [[AMERICAN TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK]], United Way, [[YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION (Y.M.C.A.)]], Foreign Missions of the Presbyterian Church, and the [[UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE]]  on which he was both life member and chairman.

In 1954 he was a delegate to the World Council of Churches Assembly in Evanston, Illinois. In 1925 Cassat founded Interstate Finance Corporation. He served as president of the American Finance Conference and chairman of its executive committee.
