BUTLER, Ellis. (Merrill, WI, 1907--Minneapolis, MN, Dec. 17, 1964). A graduate of [[COLUMBIA ACADEMY]], Butler attended Northwestern University before working for the Oak Park Trust and Savings Bank in Chicago.  He married Barbara Cottingham, the daughter of [[COTTINGHAM, John D.|John D. COTTINGHAM]], in 1929 and entered the insurance business in 1934. He later became a nationally recognized authority on poultry insurance.  (1)
