BANDY, Merle. (Dubuque, IA, July 2, 1917--Dubuque, IA, July 9, 1987). Bandy, a member of the Dubuque FIRE DEPARTMENT for twenty-three years, served as president of the Dubuque Professional Firefighters Association. He was also president of the Iowa Professional Firefighters Association.
Civic-minded, Bandy served as chairperson of the Muscular Dystrophy Drive in Dubuque for ten years.
