ADVANCED DATA-COMM. INC. Advanced Data-Comm. Inc. was an automated customized telemarketing firm founded by Michael BUDDE and Bruce Moore in February, 1987. Michael Budde and Bruce Moore served as the company's president and executive vice-president/chief executive officer respectively. The company, which opened its doors on July 25, 1988, was planned to offer a variety of services including customer service, fund raising, lead generation, and market research. Among those to announce plans to use the services were CLARKE COLLEGE and the GREATER DUBUQUE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. (1)

In June 1990 Advanced Data-Comm announced its acquisition of the Monona Telemarketing Company of Monona, Iowa. The facilities north of Dubuque were to be used to handle overflow from Dubuque during the evening hours and would eliminate capacity problems experienced in Dubuque. The acquisition of the Monona site gave Advanced Data-Comm one hundred forty workstations.

Company officials announced in April 1994 that it would open a branch in Charles City, Iowa. The new site would include fifty telemarketing stations and would initially hire between 24-30 people with another 24 in thirty days. The new branch would also create between 2-3 support positions in Dubuque. With this expansion, the company would have more than three hundred employees. (2)

In 1997, the company announced it had chosen Superior, Wisconsin as its newest satellite call center. The company then employed 525 people. Its space at Cycare Plaza over five years had increased from 7,500 square feet to 30,000 and its business had quadrupled. (3)

In May 1998 company officials announced that 150 new full-time position would be added locally. This followed news in March of 100 entry-level position being created. (4)

Advanced Data-Comm became WS LIVE, LLC.
