A. J. MEHLIN. The 1878-79 Dubuque City Directory indicated that this business was located at 1078 Main.
The 1884-1885 and 1886-87 Dubuque City Directory gave the southeast corner of 7th and Locust as the address.
The 1890-91 Dubuque City Directory listed 1030 Main as a confectionery and caterer.
Mehlin was known locally for his creations of local sites in miniature. In March, 1876 he displayed a miniature of the German Theological Seminary in his store window. (1)
